DICOM Gateway

Prism communicates with PACS via Orthanc 26.1.0. Orthanc handles the DICOM association layer and provides a REST API for study management.

Network Services (SCP)

  • C-FIND SCP — study/series/instance-level queries
  • C-MOVE SCP — retrieves studies for retrospective batch processing

Network Services (SCU)

  • C-STORE SCU — sends results back to PACS (Structured Reports, Secondary Capture, KOS)
  • C-FIND SCU — queries PACS for retrospective study selection
  • C-MOVE SCU — retrieves historical studies from PACS
